Chapter Two: Sunday Morning Delusion
And the Evil at Work in the Church Today
Christians live lives of consecration to God. This life of consecration is completed through the calling and empowerment of Holy Spirit. Biblical Christians make up the Body of Christ and live to serve Him alone, placing nothing before Him. The idea of Christ first is foreign to Sunday morning Christians who have prioritized their lives differently. Sadly, Sunday morning Christians place God second or further down the list to secular relationships and the pursuit of earthly pleasures. Although Christians understand what it means to place God first, they can fall away through a lackadaisical mindset. Remember, many Sunday morning Christians once began as Christians. They were faithful, they were committed, and they were truly part of the Body of Christ. They fell away.

Popular teachings convince believers that they can never lose their salvation once they are saved. The message to the seven Churches and the entire message of the New Testament includes repentance. Many Christians are falling into sin and are about to lose their salvation. Christ has called the Church and its members to repent, overcome, and be saved from the hour of tribulation.

I am sure Sunday morning Christians have unquestionably abandoned their salvation. They have gone from praying at the altar for repentance, making needed changes in their lives, and serving God for many years to forgetting their need for Christ in the first place. Remember the Church of Ephesus.
Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.
